"A non-diet approach to health and wellness through sustainable nutrition."
What is "Sustainable Nutrition?"
How many times have you tried a 30-day diet? A week long cleanse? Did they leave lasting results? Most likely not.
With sustainable nutrition you aren't looking for a quick fix, but instead making life long habits that impact your health. Sustainable nutrition is not about will power and dedication, but choosing simple practices that allow you to be flexible with food.
Non-diet Approach
But how can I lose weight if I'm not on a diet?
Let me let you in on a little secret. It is called the "diet industry" for a reason, because it's a business. Like most businesses they need you to keep coming back for their service. So if the diet actually worked there would be no returning customer. My goal is to teach you how to achieve personal health and leave you thriving without my continual services.
What is a Dietitian?
A dietitian is a health professional that has obtained: a bachelor's degree, completed a 1400 hour supervised internship, passed a national exam, maintains state licensure and completes continuing education. Dietitians are held to high standards, with ongoing qualifications that must be met at the state and national level.
Dietitian vs Nutritionist
Both are disciplines that work with food and the human body. However, these titles are not interchangeable. A nutritionist, unlike a dietitian, requires no formal education, standard exam, or continued education. The title "Nutritionist" is not regulated by any state or board, which allows anyone who works with food to call themselves a "Nutritionist."
